OVERVIEW

Assistant to the Staging Manager on primarily Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays on an hourly basis with property photo shoots and staging of properties, property checks and on-the-ground errands and chores regularly. 10-20 hours per week.

Martha Newport Realty Group is an established real estate company that values client-centered operations, team-building, hard work and having fun whenever possible. Staging is a hands-on branch of the company, so as the Staging Associate you will be interacting directly with the Staging Manager, homes for sale (both vacant and occupied), clients who are selling, movers and moving companies and furniture/decor. Most of the work will be on-site (not work-from-home) and driving will be part of almost every “shift”. Our clients are our focus so a service-based attitude is a must!

RESPONSIBILITIES

Assist the Staging Manager with implementing Staging Plan for properties;

  • There will always be a plan so you will need to be able to follow directions carefully. This job requires some lifting and carrying of objects up to 50lbs so it’s very important that you have some physical agility and can complete jobs in a timely manner. Can you use basic tools like a hammer and screwdriver? Even better! Staging is the fun part but it is not always easy. Flexibility and collaborative creativity are encouraged here!

Staging in occupied homes;

  • Often our clients are unable to move-out before the house is listed for sale. This would require you to be conscientious and courteous when working in someone’s personal space. We treat our clients with the utmost respect and will not tolerate behavior otherwise.

Follow COVID-19 Safety Protocols;

  • This is another facet of the job that you’d need to be ok with. You will be on-site and sometimes interacting with other people, sharing space and moving objects. We require face masks at all times and have implemented social distancing and sanitizing procedures that will need to be closely followed.

Prepare properties for professional photos;

  • You will be onsite before the photoshoot to ensure that the property is picture perfect and all touches and projects are finalized. The photos are an important part of the sales plan, so attention to detail is key.

Guide the moving of inventory with moving company between locations;

  • You may need to be independent in directing movers with the staging inventory. Personal responsibility and communication skills are valuable here.

Perform property checks as needed and directed by Staging Manager;

  • This includes exterior and interior sweeps with an eye to ensure the property is in show shape based on direction and checklists. This means seeing the big picture from the client’s perspective, this is what the staging is all about!

Organize the company storage unit on a weekly basis;

  • This is the hub of our inventory so it’s important that it’s clean and that things can be found easily when needed. A knack for organizing and tidying is really important!

Place and check on signs as needed to ensure that MNRG is represented fully at all listed and under-contract properties

Various errands to assist the MNRG team in executing a timely listing process
